Are you a musician? What instrument do you play? Type of music?: Not really... I am a Mad Scientist and a Wandering Mad man. Although I do employ synthesizers as a mind control tool to command Golem...create shoggoths,communicate telepathically with witch covens..etc. I do know how to feed and keep a muse though,and employ them (or they me?) frequently.

So...I take this incredibly LONG bike ride yesterday..wind up in a local record store in another town.I am going to BUY a real CD! Thomas Mann wrote this enormously brilliant and erudite novel "The Magic Mountain" and when two of his characters, Herr Settembrini and Nephta become engaged in a long theoretical discussion about the state of society and the future of Europe, Peeperkorn, a man incapable of coherent thought but with a vivid sense of the world as it is, quietly points out to these men, lost in their maze of abstractions, a golden eagle in the sky. And then as Mann remarked "All interest in Settembrini's and Nephta's antinomies fled away. But the vision of the eagle remained". A fine moment in literature indeed!
