Upcoming June 18th show - Beatless Ambient, James Johnson & Vir Unis
RHR will be focusing on beatless ambient music on this week's show. Tune in and chill out to the more atmospheric and contemplative side of Vir Unis & AtmoWorks this Thursday, June 18th, at 10pm CST.
In addition, we'll be featuring the music of Vir Unis & James Johnson, the founders of AtmoWorks. Over the course of an intense 7 year working relationship, Vir Unis & James Johnson managed to produce several albums together in addition to releasing music together in alter egos Foy and The Elf Machine. The Perimeter series and The Live Transmissions are two great examples of this collaborative energy. We'll also be playing unreleased recordings from various live performances these two did from found minidiscs. Vir and James always recorded to 24 bit minidisc and always recorded live with no overdubs. The entire Perimeter series came out of weekend long live sessions in the studio and were edited for release. So, tune in this Thursday for a fun excursion in the work of these two artists.
