As the rudimentary elements of producing music of this kind, collaborating with another artist, and how it actually makes it onto cd are seldom explained, this is how these particular albums were recorded.
"Busy With Dreams" is the second of three albums all recorded within a three week period in August 2008 by Steve Brand and myself. The first, "Broken Gold" was released November 2008, and the third called "The Rest Of Time", is scheduled for later this year.
It felt right that we would do so…

Disturbed Earth's comment...
I met SAVO on myspace about over 2 years ago. It was kinda neat. He was doing things that were so unique in the world of drum programming/experimentation and sounds that had an emotion. It was so great to hear, and I was honored that he wanted to work with me. The phone calls between Zephyrhills,Florida and Wolverhampton UK (what an amazing time for us both). Our friendship I know shines through the music on these releases. What a friend I found, and a musical partn…

We're approaching
Thanksgiving in the U.S. this Thursday. My wife and I are taking a couple of days off before the holiday - so in all - we're off work from Tuesday through the weekend. Yeah! It's wonderful to have a bit of a break - and I plan to continue cleaning up my studio, de-cluttering, and making sure everything is plugged in and working. I hope to get my Mackie 1604 mixer ready to sell as well... time to downsize a bit - it's just too darn big in my small space. Thanksgiving is a…

AtmoWorks is proud to release SoulSpiral by Steve Brand!

Steve wrote about the album on his blog in the AtmoWorks community and he describes the album in a wonderfully personal way...
"SoulSpiral" represents a new phase of work for me, in which I felt the desire to explore the creation of longer, more dense zones which unfold slowly over longer periods of time, as opposed to shor…

We have a vast number of projects underway... here's a quick update on a few of them.
Releases
Very soon we'll be rolling out the first releases that will be both 320 kpbs mp3 downloads and on CDR in conjunction with Hypnos. I'm very excited about these releases - all are exceptional and will definitely appeal to fans of AtmoWorks and I think fans of Hypnos and their sublabels as well. Be on the lookout for these releases and more over the next few months!

I've posted this to a few other forums - but thought everyone here might want to catch up on what's going on with AtmoWorks right now... Thanks! jkn
Just a quick update on what's going on with AtmoWorks right now. Our main website is down and consequently our email isn't working either... however, we're alive and well and can be reached through our community site (see below).
* We're migrating to a new server within our webhost - unfortunately something went very wrong with the transition and…

We'll be experimenting heavily with the look and feel of the site. Don't be surprised if it's dark and murky one second and looks like a sunshine day the next. We don't quite know what to do just yet and we're playing with the settings. If things look really bad for some reason - give us a second - we probably just messed something up in the layout... :)
...And about those irritating ads from google over on the right... they'll most definitely be going away! Don't worry - we definitely plan to…

We're currently testing Ning as a potential new platform for our AtmoWorks site. Why? We really want to bring a host of features to AtmoWorks - like forums, blogging, videos, photos, etc... - and make it very easy for our listeners to interact with each other and our artists. Ning helps us do this. Why? To bring something new to our ambient and electronic music loving community. Why? To make it fun!
We hope you like what we're doing. It will take some time to work out all the kinks, and we'd lo…
