Where You Been, City Boy?

Hi gang - man, it's been months, as time accelerates onward. My computer upgrade in the spring set me back a couple months, then my wife started a business and I jumped into that with her. Unfortunately, it failed after a few months. I've just been getting back up to speed on my solo project, when a collaboration project with a friend jumped in front of me. So that's moved to the front burner, while I try to juggle the two. My collaborator is a killer accordion player, and we're doing some right… Continue

More Power, Scotty!

Finally! It's been a drawn-out process, but my computer upgrade is finally done. The Musical Box now sports a righteous AMD quad-core processor, more RAM and lots more drive space. I was maxing out the CPU a bit while messing around with early iterations of Rebuild From Memory (I had four loopers going at once). I've just finished restoring all my software and files, so now I get to find out how much of an improvement all this amounts to. I'm a part-time music guy as it is, and other resp… Continue

New Music

I've added new clips from two pieces: Expanse of Heart was recorded last year, with a nice vocal performance from a friend's daughter. Rebuild From Memory is a brand new guitarscape. Unlike First Day Apart and Radha's Tears, which are live guitar performances, this one is an editing job. Four separate guitar tracks were improvised. There was a lot of chopping up and remixing, adding a dreamy collage quality. Something like watching a river flow by, with a subtle under… Continue

Who is This Guy?

Wow, it's only been a week since Geoff invited me to hop aboard here, after hearing my two clips on MySpace. Thank you all for the generous comments. There are so many outstanding musicians on this label that I can't help feeling like a fly on the wall, but anyway…

So I've uploaded some tracks, here's a little info about them:

Two finished electric guitar pieces: First Day Apart and Radha's Tears (these are the complete 8-minute tracks, not the MySpace clips). Apart from a few sy… Continue

Hello & thank you for your positive comments about 'Soraya'. I've just listened to a few of your tracks and love what I heard - very relaxing & dreamy (just the way I like it). You really deserve a much wider audience. And I too love Sheila Chandra (both her solo stuff & when she was with Monsoon).

Cheers.
