miKroNaught.com coming soon....

Folks, just a heads up that I have begun work on a new website for miKroNaught, which is myself (Vir Unis) & MjDawn working together as producers and recording artists. We are currently working on production for Chicago based band, Camera. We also are working on loop libraries and have a new album album coming out this Spring. So, there is a lot going on and what better place to find out about this info than at a brand new website? More info coming soon....

Stand Still Like The Hummingbird Release date

I'm currently finishing up final artwork for the album. I've gone through some real changes in the artwork, which is really important to me in any release. This has what has been delaying the release date. With the holidaze, I've been sidetracked from finishing this. Now that the blur of the holidaze has passed, I will be finishing this and looking to release on Jan. 16th....After that, it's all Elf Machine for a while. Hummigbird was really a lot of work, but I'm hoping that will pay off.

MikroNaught featured on Fxpansion!

AtmoWorks' very own MjDawn and Vir Unis, collectively known as MikroNaught is currently featured on Fxpansion. Fxpansion is a company that has produced outstanding progams like BFD and GURU. These are essential tools for both artists and have been used extensively for not only MikroNaught, but solo Vir Unis projects as well as work for Mudvayne's new recordings.

New Maps of Hyperspace

Here's a great transcript of a talk given by Terence McKenna. Really wish I could have seen and heard one of his talks. He was a great speaker.

A talk given at the invitation of Ruth and Arthur Young of the Berkeley Institute for the Study of Consciousness, 1984. (Included as written word because this edited transcription appears in print as part of his book The Archaic Revival—deoxy)

TERENCE MCKENNA VS. THE BLACK HOLE

I read this interview with Terence McKenna this morning. I was thinking about him, after watching 'Meet the Robinsons' with my son earlier this morning. It's a funny kids Disney movie, but it's about time travel and stuff, so it just kinda morphed into Terence in my mind....-:)

Anyway, him talking about eternal light ala William Blake, shining through plants and insects, was really moving, as he was facing his own inevitable death. Please read. Whether or not you like his stance and philosophy… Continue

Hi, Vir!

Thank You very much for the welcome - and also for founding this wonderful platform, actually: great work and a wonderful virtual place to be!

Peace to You and good wishes,
Michael

P.S. To me it's very interesting to read that You have family, since it's always been kind of difficult for me to balance my family life and daytime job with my artistic activities. Gives me kind of hope to see people who succeed in that respect :-)
