Now that I have had a chance to install and use Ableton Live v 8.0.8 (just to see what all the 'hoopla' has been about)- I find that I have been able to produce finished quality results with it- although I can't use it at 96 kHz in my ASIO driver,...

I totally missed this post back then... but it's so true and very much how I like to work. I like to create artificial "rules" and experiment around those... and it pretty much mirrors what Matt has listed... examples: + Use only one synth + Cre...

Profile Information

About Me:
LOVE FOR MUSIC began at the young age of 13 where he took his first proffessional drum lessons in which he excelled rapidly during his high school days not only gaining much knowledge in rhythm theory, but for the first time understanding certain contexts of music which at the time were Rock and The Funk. (His drum teacher got him into early 90s bands such as Nirvana and the Chilis!)

At the age of 15 he got into his first band with school friends. Meanwhile being in a band he picked up his mothers acoustic guitar growing an acquired taste for classical guitar (finger-picking) at the age of 16 and became fluent on the bass guitar basics with heavy Jamiroquai, Chili Peppers (funk in general) and Incubus influence (which also helped develop his drumming further).

In 2003 after he finished school he started a 2-year BTEC Music Technology course where he increased his knowledge on computer music as well as studio recording and the basics of the music industry. Here he was introduced to Reason3 (at the time) and Sony Sound Forge. This was the foundation to opening up to the world of all Electronica's genres & Urban music.

During his BTEC college days he left one band for another in 2004. This band was generally drone, slow-paced, experimental doom metal (Isis & Converge influence) where he really learnt about stage presence as well as opening up to heavier (and noise) elements of music also due to a latter band member joining who was the sound effects guy in the band (Encyclopedia-S aka Fedd [in my top friends]). Fedd is a good friend till this day in which they share much musical opinion and interests.

After finishing his BTEC he carried on pursuing improving his skills on Reason3 at home as well as drumming in his band for another year meanwhile still opening his mind to new styles of music. Discovering the wider expanse of more obscure music started here.

In 2006, he left his band to study in Worcester to study a 2-year Music Production HND. His learning curve was higher than ever in these two years gaining more knowledge of the music industry and production meanwhile over MySpace meeting my first two major collaberators; AtmoWorks' Disturbed Earth and Esprit..Square Records' Wreckage Machinery in which his life's musical adventure begins.

His two years spent on his HND course where he gained much experience on Pro Tools LE and Logic Pro 8 which shall play a big part of his future productions as well as DJ mixes on Ableton Live for future radio work.

Now in '08 with his HND course days behind him, he now has the endurance to show the world his diversity and expression through music which will take many forms over many years to come.

-- His first ever release (which shall be an ambient release) in collaboration with the legendary Disturbed Earth from the AtmoWorks label is coming very soon! --

Drop those comments and tell me anything! Thanks,
SAVO
