Profile Information

About Me:

My name is Garvan and Float Method is currently my main project. I have a love affair with making soundscapes out of random objects and instruments which came about whilst doing a music tech degree in London. I initially incorporated synths into my productions but it wasnt long before the organic approach took over. Im now finishing an electro-acoustic ambient album which im very proud to say shall be released on the magically splendiferous atmowork label.
Photography is my other passion which ive incorporated with my sound over the years. All the photos in my page are off bin lids, oven spillage, dirt and other random stuff.
Im now planning on a few ventures with other projects and am very up for working with new people.

Massive Attack, Hybrid, Lisa Gerrard, Murcof, Disturbed Earth, Peter James, UNKE, Boom bip, Peter Gabriel and much of his Realworld releases such as Jocelyn Pook, Afro-celt soundsystem, Jocelyn Pook, Sheila Chandra etc. A Perfect Circle, Ulrich Schnauss, Zero 7, The Waterboys, Pink Floyd, Aphex Twin, Faultline, Enigma, Efterklang, Nina Simmone, Tool, Depeche Mode, Bjork, The Beta BAND, Inxs, Clouddead, A Hawk and A Hacksaw and nearly anything from the Leaf Label. Iarla O Lionnard etc etc

Drummer. Besides that learning piano and will pluck, blow or bash anything if i think i could make a soundscape from it.
