Yeh thanks, this site is getting so big I am missing many bus's screamin' passd. Listening to Dead Mime Society right now and enjoying very much. Superb effort!
Sometime you have got to listen to samples of "Mystery of Souls" a debut by Melanie Hutton and Marshall Lefferts at CDBaby: http://cdbaby.com/cd/huttonlefferts This is a gem. Bought it yesterday so is currently dominating my music room.

Great to see Dead Can dance top of your list Andi! "Toward the within" is one of the best CDs I own and yes I have viewed on YouTube a few times. Little compares. I've been playing a fair bit of Led Zeppelin lately too :-)

Andi - welcome to the community. Bellydancing is so cool - it sounds like you have a very musical family.

Profile Information

About Me:
I love ATS Tribal Bellydance, Ballet, creating electronic music, choreography and video production, reading, writing, hiking, drawing, making bellydance hair/jewelry/costumes & finding new music and dance styles. I am married to a very talented guy and have three very gifted boys, all are musicians and can act, write and draw. I am very very proud of them!

Best album(s) of all time?
Dead Can Dance - Aion, Led Zeppelin III, Tori Amos - Into the Pink, Gary Numan - Replicas, Jean Michelle Jarre - Oxygene, Type O Negative - October Rust, Rush - 2112, The Cure - Disintegration
Favorite artist(s)?
Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance, Tom Waits, Danny Elfman, Jimmy Page, Gary Numan, Nomad, Klaus Nomi, Peter Gabriel - there are so many bands & artists I adore, yet currently I'm into Beats Antique and my 14 year old's music (Abe Woosley), he's getting really versatile!
Are you a musician? What instrument do you play? Type of music?
I play drums, currently playing doumbek and zills for dancers but used to play with bands, also create digital music with Fruity Loops and Cool Edit Pro (until I can afford and learn new equipment!), and I like to sing! Here is my other website on SoundClick that is my experimental music project. It's quite eclectic. I am currently working on a collaborative peice with my 14 yr old who is much more savvy with the equipment than I...

DOOMSDAY...the most hardcore movie...

I wanted to create my first blog post...I've been meaning to find an outlet for my writing and this works this a.m. ~ I watched the movie "Doomsday" last night. I picked it because the preview made it look a bit like the old Mad Max movies...namely "Road Warrior" a movie I'd watched over and over as a teenager. I used to love the movies because they made me feel strong...they made me feel that if the world systems go to shit I'd still be able to shave my head and paint my face and don a handmade… Continue
