Hello everyone. I would be very interested in this. I can add odd melodies/hooks as well as FX and atmospherics.

I'm thinking of where we can store and put our files to trade. We will have online storage via FTP soon, once our new server is functional. In the meantime, we can probably use mail delivery programs like sendspace or yousendit. Any ideas?

I have some more treated Artemis loops from Dean I still need to download. From there, I can create some rhythmic loops to pass along.

Who wants to be next?

Oh, we also made samples of ourselves playing dombek, zills, and some other random middle eastern sounding wavs. How are we sharing files? I'm so very new to all this, bear with me, guys...

I have to catch up posts, I've been busy and I'll be even busier in the next few days (minor surgery, too) ~ but we do have some sitar files I believe...and maybe tamboura, too. Again, I'd like to add some noise to it on Cool Edit Pro while listening to the whole thing, and I can send it to whomever in wav files. Right now I cannot stop sneezing and my throat is screwed...so maybe next week I'll be my old self again.

Thanks Geoff,
I knew you'd come through for me. As they say "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach"...or so I've heard. Mind you, it had bettter be a greeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat sample to get the coveted MM Pizza receipe.(hand tossed, thin crust or Chicago style) it doesn't matter. We are talking fun, food and some music that all goes together quite nicely from time to time.

Throw in the recipe for the Mickey Mouse pizza, and I'll go to the ends of the earth for your samples!

Not having a sitar or tamboura of my own, does anyone have some samples or owns these. It would come in handy with a particular track I'm doing with the "artemis vocal files" that John sent me. I only need 30 sec. at most. The rest is easy. If not I'll have to ape one, and that will make me pretty mad, considering this is a helping hand sort of a thing. In return I promise to disclose the secret receipe to my non famous Sunday casserole... and as a bonus,(if it's a good sample, that is), I'll promise not to use my highbrow Magix Studio 11 Deluxe software program(thanks John I am listening)he he he

I'd be comfortable working with atmospherics and field sounds. My musicality is a little rusty, but I can still work with sound.

In the spirit of keeping this thing somewhat organized (although I do enjoy a bit of chaos), should we assign certain roles in like a virtual band so to speak? Or, should we just have it as a free for all everything but the kitchen sink type of thing?

Like, if we assigned certain roles, I would opt to provide drums. Dean would probably opt to provide guitar and tape loop treatments and Andi could provide vocalizations, etc. etc. Just an example of how we could construct this thing.

Everyone, let me know your thoughts. So far, I've sent those Artemis loops to Dean, who has really come up with some interesting soundscapes out of those.

Thoughts, feelings, ideas....?

ok guys. my strongpoint is Reason 4 software. Gud for all types of electronic sounds. I got plenty brass samples, guitar. a lot of random stuff.

I dont know much about this project other than being interesting if all these people are being involved.
