We live and breathe music.

We can all think of musicians who haven't worked together, but probably should! All we have to do is work it out for them, then get them to read this thread...

So, to begin: Steve Roach & Patrick O'Hearn have worked together, but just two tracks years apart - a full album would be really cool.

Robert Rich & Vir Unis - this could run the gamut from sequential/modular frenzy to deep drift. I think these two could light some serious sparks off each other.

Robert Fripp & Fear Falls Burning - best way to make a TON of noise with two guitars.

Alio Die & Disturbed Earth - two masters of texture. Avoiding overlap might be a challenge, but these two could carve a rich space.

More will probably come up anon...

I'm going to have to say Igneous Flame and peter james. There's a raw, unsettling beauty to peter's music that I think would be very interesting to listen to when passed through the long, slow crucible of Pete Kelly's manipulations. That pairing would really be quite....

"Unsettling" is an interesting thought.
Britney Spears and Steve Roach - that would be unsettling.

...cheers for the idea geoff, might be interesting! however, even though it's just a "what if" question, i'm having at least a year out from any collaborative work, and i'm not even sure when i'll be doing any more solo albums, either (though this is not a cut and dried statement..) .. ...and thanks for the compliment re my stuff, too. i'll take "unsettling beauty" as a description any day of the week :-)

as for who i'd like to see work together? i'm afraid i don't listen to enough music to answer that question ;-)

Any kind of collaboration involving the following ambient artists would be interesting:

Matthew Florianz
Jeff Pearce
Diatonis
Jim Cole
Dark Muse
