New Vir Unis album

Just a quick note to all that I am currently finishing up mastering on my next album, entitled 'Stand Still Like the Hummingbird". This new body of work continues the music I've constructed for Body Electric, Blood Machine, Light Fantastic, Mercury and Plastic, Pulse/Atmo, and Book of Mutations. That is to say, it's music that is an interwoven mesh of acoustic-electronic rhythmic devices and immersive soundworlds. I've put a few samples up and will probaby add a few more in the coming days. I'm looking to have this released mid December.

Can't wait to hear it.... I was always particularly impressed with the Transmissions albums you did with James Johnson. They sound more like you, to be honest... It would be a real knockout to hear you get together with Lustmørd, although I have no idea if you're acquainted yet. I live in Chicago, and it would be tremendous to see you perform live, although I missed my only chance so far, it would seem - that was several years ago, wasn't it?

My last performance was as the Elf Machine on WNUR radio. Before that, I think my last live show was at The Butterfly Social Club last year with James. Before that, I think my last solo show was at Danny's in Bucktown. I do plan on playing at the Motion Graphics Festival here in Chicago in January, but nothing is solid yet.

Just added a new preview from "Stand Still Like The Hummingbird". The track is called "Sons of Thunder". I posted the whole track up in 192k MP3 for a little better preview quality.

I am definitely playing at the MG Fest. Sunday night, the 25th. It's going from 6-9pm. I'm somewhere in the middle slot.

I'm also playing at a gallery the night before, but I don't know the details yet. Troy & Julee from Psymbolic would know at this point. Would love to see you and Val out there!
