New Vir Unis album

[Vir Unis]

Just a quick note to all that I am currently finishing up mastering on my next album, entitled 'Stand Still Like the Hummingbird". This new body of work continues the music I've constructed for Body Electric, Blood Machine, Light Fantastic, Mercury and Plastic, Pulse/Atmo, and Book of Mutations. That is to say, it's music that is an interwoven mesh of acoustic-electronic rhythmic devices and immersive soundworlds. I've put a few samples up and will probaby add a few more in the coming days. I'm looking to have this released mid December.

Pointless trivial note... this album is officially catalog # AW2001... yes - the first album since the transition of AtmoWorks from John/James as owners - to John/Matt/me as owners which was March 1, 2008.

Admittedly - John's a little later than anticipated in releasing this one! Ha! But - what really matters is he wasn't ready to release it yet - took his time - and did it the way he wanted to. I can't wait to hear the whole thing!

Finishing up on the mastering now and putting some final touches in. It's looking like it's going to land somewhere around Dec. 12th as long as their aren't any last minute issues....

I can't wait to hear this. Blood Machine and Mercury And Plastic in particular are among my absolute favorite ambient/electronica albums. So reading that this new album will be conceptually similar to those just made my day at work so much better!
