I have the house to myself so I'm pulling out the big guns!!!!!!

Venetian Snares- Rossz Csillag Alatt Született (A truly insane album, can't get enough of it!)
Lustmord- [OTHER] (A pretty cool album, the guitar works really well amongst all the drones & rumbles. Freaks the neighbors out!)
Iron Maiden-Piece of Mind (I can only play Maiden when my wife is out, she can't stand 80's metal! Fiona is truly missing out!)

I've been reading this thread - from the beginning - while listening to the playlist on Ensueno's page. Several things stand out: (1) Enseuno's music is wonderful! ( 2) it's a loonnngggg thread - I'm part way through track 16 as I type (3) even though I recognized, and enjoy, a substantial number of the artists mentioned it's quite likely the number I've learned of is larger. Thanks to all of you for that.

Today's listening:
Syntaks: Ylajali
Bernard Szajner: Some Deaths Take Forever (an excellent blend of synth and Zeuhl)
Tangerine Dream: Assorted Secrets 2
Univers Zero: Uzed

Thanks for reading the whole thread! I started this over here because I love the now listening thread over on Hypnos (which has been massive for years). I'm a "now playing" kind of guy. Yeah - I'm weird. I'm ok with it. :-)

cabaret voltaire - code

was:

the cure - seventeen seconds
the cure - pornography
green day - 21st century breakdown
muse - the resistance
steve brand - multiple albums
circle of pines - the insistence of memory

Those two Cure albums are amongst my favourite Cure releases (Disintegration is still my absolute fav!)

Anyway, I've been listening to a lot of live stuff I found on the Internet Archive (A great site). All of these are up for free download as well & many of them are pretty damn good quality.

The last few days I've been playing:

Mogwai- Live 2009-03-05 Forum Theatre, Melbourne, AU
Pelican- Live 2009-10-18 The Triple Rock
Godspeed! You Black Emperor- Live 2001-09-28 - Palais Royale
Mono- Live At Empty Bottle 20/4/2007
Explosions In The Sky- Live At Starlight Ballroom 18/3/2007

My wife works there and without my help on occasions (such as setting up and running a stall at the fetes) she would really struggle. I could actually do more so perhaps not so wonderful of me..........

Been relaxing & enjoying the mild weather (After our week of hideous 38+ C temps & Summer has only just started!). So I decided to hit the chill-out on itunes & power-napped the entire day, though my daughter kept on turning off the sound every few minutes because she wanted to listen to Placebo!

Heard-

Amon Tobin- Verbal (Remixes & Collaborations)
Mogwai- Kicking A Dead Pig (OK, granted the title isn't "Chill-Out", but the album is slightly laid-back!)
DJ Shadow- The Private Press
Royksopp- Melody AM
Doctor Who At The BBC Radiophonic Workshop: Volume 2: New Beginnings (Delia Derbyshire...wow!!!!!)

Hearing-

Portishead- Third (An album that I've only begun to enjoy...it's only taken me a year to wrap my head around it!)
