I just rearranged a few things... and flipped the blog and forum posts to show "titles only" instead of the first few sentences of each post. Good/bad? What do you think?
I also dropped the "recent activity" list to the bottom of the page. Good idea? Bad idea?
Is it easier to just click on photos at the top - or do you like scrolling down to see the slideshow on the front page? (same question with videos - which I shoved over to the left for now...)
There are a lot of things that just aren't quite "there" yet... for instance... graphics. We're still in "wall of text" mode - which will gradually change.
I've mentioned it about seven times already - but the ads on the right will absolutely be gone in the near future. :)
What do you think? What do you want to see in the community? Have you seen a feature somewhere else you wish was here? Let us know!
If you haven't discovered it yet.... you can change the theme of your own page. Right beneath your photo is "change photo or theme" - just click theme and have fun. When people view your blog posts, photos, or videos - they'll see it using your theme.
Take a look at igneous flame or mjdawn or endoflogic for a few ideas...
Ning rolled out a small update to all the networks last night. The main thing for us is the font just got a little bigger which has been a complaint for a few people. They're also underlining links now and moved the 'invite' tab to between the 'main' and 'my page' tabs.
We're still using one of the default Ning templates and haven't really dug into customizing much - except for little tweaks and moving things around. We'll be working on customizing the site in the coming months.
