We live and breathe music.

For the first time I spoke to Dean over the phone today. Hadn't felt so over-excited to talk to someone in a while!!! As we were talking I just happened to ask him roughly how old everyone is on here! (HAHAHA) Dean's the oldest and I at 21 years of age am the youngest here (born 31st May '87). Its great that the youngest and oldest are releasing something together! But about ages...

Is there anyone here younger than 21?

Is anyone here older than 51?

This discussion is a good laugh EVERYONE should join in!

Doing well for 14 yrs old! No clipping, nothing out of pitch, and not heavy on effects!

nice 1 Abe

I gave Abe your feedback - Abe's got just one ambient tune, and he's working on a bit more...also, he was "being random" (in his words) when he picked "Buttnuggett" as a name at 12 - now he would like to change that to fit his new style. His new stuff is not on the net yet and includes some really complicated guitar riffs in Slayer. He is also being sent Ableton Live and Acid Pro by my little brother who has lots of new equipment and would like to support Abe in his work as a musician! We are really excited about this because we can't afford either program right now for him - whoo hoo! My older boy is 20 and does live stuff...he writes/sings and plays guitar. We went to go hear him practice last night & Abe tried his hand at singing, too...not bad, not bad. I do LOVE to hear my kids!

Nothing better than family support! If hes starting to make ambient early on thats good going because u can't learn to make good ambient overnight!

I don't know about Acid Pro but Ableton is truly a lifesaver once u get to learn it! Its a whizz for any sort of DJ because is can warp (quantize) audio! without change pitch!

I use Reason4. Its only MIDI though. Its like a word document program for music producers; u got an idea, and just write it down in there...simple. All my productions from Ambient to DnB to anything else are all done on Reason4! Im sure Abe would like that ;)

Buttnuggett's a funny name but i suppose wouldn't really suit the Ambient genre. I make all sorts of music and just go by the same name always...SAVO (eventhough SAVO don't sound ambient...I know)

Rhys, about the picture...HAHA! funny

I was 47 a couple of weeks ago - but often people think I look 37. I can act between 6 and 47 (not having experience of being older than i am I'll have to wait and let you know what it's like).

In some ways i am as young as i used to be, in others age seems to be changing my body. I had a friend who went bald at 21 so there is never any guarantee of anything....

Watch out for grey hairs in unexpected places.....

I'm as creative as ever, just different forms over time, but need (or enjoy) more sleep than when I could stay awake for three days without chemical assistance.

Ageing has it's positives and negatives and whatever you end up with you just have to roll with it.

Currently working in a hospital and seeing a vast range of elderly people and although they are all ill of course, some are doing very well and others are on their way to other realms...
