We live and breathe music.

For the first time I spoke to Dean over the phone today. Hadn't felt so over-excited to talk to someone in a while!!! As we were talking I just happened to ask him roughly how old everyone is on here! (HAHAHA) Dean's the oldest and I at 21 years of age am the youngest here (born 31st May '87). Its great that the youngest and oldest are releasing something together! But about ages...

Is there anyone here younger than 21?

Is anyone here older than 51?

This discussion is a good laugh EVERYONE should join in!

I don't know if anyone is quite as ancient as Dean or as young as you... I'm a young 37... or an old 37 depending on your viewpoint. :)

I just turned 40 at the beginning of the year....I never really thought much about age or time for the last 20 years. I lived in what one would refer to "Kiros" or God's time ...as opposed to the linear tick trip or "Chronos"...which I abbhor and am currently defaulted into..due to lack of specific time travelling plans. I never saw a dentist...I never saw a doctor...I just walked along back country roads humming until someone picked me up...then I went where ever they were going. It kept me young.Yet time and death are bastards....they will pursue people who do not wish to engage in "CARASEL"...33 and the sand men hunt you...the dream police have caught me...what am I to farkin' do aye? The meme lie in the cultural paradigm has put me on as a mask.I've dreamed everything before....time goes forwards...and at the same time backwards...leaving me here burning like a puddle of gas. Now I'm swallowing "reasons" and "explinations"....cultural storylines and family friendly reasons for this projection of divinity.Basically...the time bandits caught me..and I don't care anymore. If you can die while still in life...get it over with now! Hail BOB! Hail Eris! Iron Madien rules!

I'm a very old 40...and can clearly remember finishing up my sophomore year in college about the time you were being born.

I'm going to go and jump off of something tall now.

OK. so this ain't a very optimistic subject... I didn't start this to pick on anyone at all hehe.

Way I see it, u aint old, just older then me! and besides u dnt have to call yourself 40 years old if u can call yourself 40 years young! Or thats just me being nice about it. I got told once white hair is a sign of wisdom, I'm sure thats true. Being young is fun but can be foolish haha.

Cheer up guys, besides I cant escape getting old myself so I'm not ripping out of anyone ;)
right?

Salv... I don't think anyone's too offended by the age question at all. I think everyone makes a few jokes about their age whatever it is. Sometimes I feel old and sometimes I feel young - depends on the day - but then I've been doing that since I was in my teens... (Mr. Unis will back me up on that...)

Age is a state of mind. It is funny though - there's a point in life where you realize that you can't do everything you could when you were a teenager or in your twenties... I think it was about 33 for me - and I'm sure it's 30 for some people and 40 for others... It's a very subtle shift. You need a bit more sleep than you did - and things you did 10 years ago easily aren't so easy anymore (like staying up all night or whatever...) - I'm sure when I'm 50 or 60 I'll chuckle about that comment.

Of course - getting older brings a lot of other things with it. I'll have been married 16 years in July - amazing amazing amazing - what a fantastic wife I've been lucky to spend my life with. I know who my true long time friends are... etc. etc. etc...

Life's a journey.

I see. Yeah I get told that a lot off the parents about not having the same amount of energy when u are older. I definately agree on the whole age being a state of mind, some older folks don't seem too optimistic in general like for example; People my age don't really give them the time of day nowadays and so they just seem the retreat and avoid conversation with the younger ones themselves

I feel as if on the occasion I have better conversations with older folks due to their experience and above all, open-mindedness then with younger people due to lack of knowing whats good for them. haha.

well said all.. i'm 45 in a few months, yet i don't think i'll ever be capable of "growing up". life is a vital thing. and no matter what happens, every now and then, inspiration kicks your ass and it reminds you that if you hadn't lived this long, you wouldn't know what you know, and understand that you don't know what you don't know, and it doesn't matter. yet everything matters. could i have done the (musical) work i'm doing now 10 years ago? 5 years ago? 3 years ago? no. so even though time isn't a kind friend, it does give you something useful every now and then. and you salv? i think you are pushing some boundaries even now - imagine what might happen when all the stuff you don't know now starts to become clear? in 20 years, what kind of stuff will YOU be doing? quite a thought, huh ;-)

Peter - that was very eloquent.

I must say exactly what John said: Peter - that was very eloquent!!!

Hadn't thought of that! Very deep i know, I can't imagine where I'll be then. That was very philosophical Pete.

Looks like im somewhere in the middle been 29...though i reckon part of me never made it past 5 or 6 been of big fan of trampolines, fizzy cola bottles and hide and seek. The latter normally involves the student loan company.
