What are your favorite books? What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading a few books written by Hunter S Thompson. I just finished fear and loathing for a second time, and am half way through his last publication, "Kingdom of Fear". Everything written by HST is loads of fun to read, while straight to the point, and intelligently spoken. He seems to be holding nothing back in this book, somehow publishing the words "I piss down the throats of these nazi's; and I'm too old to be bothered with if they care or not. Fuck them" (in regards to the bush administration)

Before my eyesight made it frustrating to read I loved these books and a host of biograghies.

Travels with a Donkey in the Cevannes by Robert Louis Stevenson

Two People by A.A. Milne (the guy who wrote Winnie The Pooh).

The Narnia series by C.S. Lewis

oh and shoddy translations of both "Popol Vuh" and Lao Tze

I've just picked up a copy of The Bourne Identity, intending to read on holiday and compare to the film....

I'm currently reading a book that I read many years ago, The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. A friend of mine in Georgia called last week to speak of a personal experience that had him questioning himself about coincidences, if there was such a thing or not. i recommended this book to him and it got me back into reading it again.
I"m happy to say that the book answered my dear friend's question about the subject to his satisfaction. :-)
